Jailbreak iOS 4.3.5 Guide

Apple Just released iOS 4.3.5 after a short period from the release of 4.3.4 ( Jailbreak Killer ) so what have they changed in it ?


A minor fix in a security vulnerability with certificate validation. Not a big deal for them but for the Jailbreak community is ! MuscleNerd ( iPhone Hacker ) has confirmed that 4.3.5 is Jailbreakable but its a tethered Jailbreak, meaning that if you turn off the iPhone or if it looses power you have to connect it to Redsn0w again to fire it up ! If not you will be stuck on apple logo at the begining .

Not supported ?

• iPad 2 on 4.3.4 or 4.3.5
• iPhone CDMA Verizon iPhone on 4.2.10 or 4.2.9

What do you need ?

Redsn0w 0.9.8B4 Windows : Windows Redsn0w 0.9.8B4
Redsn0w 0.9.8B4 MAC : Mac Redsn0w 0.9.8B4

iOS 4.3.4 Firmware :

iPhone 4 GSM 4.3.4
iPhone 3Gs 4.3.4
iPad 1st Gen 4.3.4
iPod Touch 4G 4.3.4
iPod Touch 3G 4.3.4




If you Updated to 4.3.5 you are good to go if not Update via iTunes to 4.3.5 .

Warning :

• Be aware that updating with iTunes will erase everything on your iPhone so please make a backup before you do anything. 

• Updating via iTunes will upgrade your baseband to the new ones that are unlockable, so if you rely on an Unlock stay AWAY from these new firmwares ( 4.3.4 / 4.3.5 ) .

Steps :

1. Open Redsn0w & hit browse then select the 4.3.4 firmware ( Not 4.3.5 )
2. Now select Install Cydia & choose install battery percentage if you want
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to put the iPhone in DFU Mode , now if you don't want to do it with the program you can ut it in DFU Mode before opening Redsn0w ( Its your choice )
4. Let Redsn0w do its Jailbreaking . Thats it .

If Cydia fails to stat :

1. Open Redsn0w
2. Browse for 4.3.4 firmware
3. Deselect everything & Just select ( Boot Tethered Right Now )
4. Follow Redsn0w instructions & let it do the Jailbreaking process again . Thats it ! You are good to go.
